Debbie Malloy
Clinical Counseling

Evidence-Based Therapy for Californians
Deborah (Debbie) Malloy is a Licensed Professional Clinical Counselor and Recreational Therapist Certified, practicing telehealth in California with over 20 years of professional experience.

Therapy Approach & Orientation

My goal is to provide a safe, non-judgmental, and compassionate space for my clients to heal and become empowered to realize their counseling goals and embrace their authentic selves. I specialize in assisting clients to recover from trauma, and some of the interventions I utilize include EMDR and The Flash Technique.

Both of these interventions work with the brain’s information processing systems to allow individuals to reprocess trauma memories in a healthy manner, gain insights, and experience relief from psychological and somatic symptoms related to those trauma memories.

I support clients in their learning about and identifying strategies that will allow them to constructively manage debilitating symptoms of depression and anxiety.

I have over 8 years of experience working in behavioral health and substance use recovery settings as a clinician with diverse adult clients, and 14 years working as a therapist in psychiatric hospitals.
